It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Noahism. Today is his birthday. The big 5! Time is flying by and my little boy is not so little anymore. 😢

DOLLAR AND COIN SORTING 💵 . The kids have been learning the value of money. Noah seems a lot more interested on who is on each dollar bill and coin. BEGINNING SOUND RECOGNITION BEAN BOX 📦 . The magnets in the box are from Lakeshore Learning and I use them often for activities. The graphics are fun for my kids and they love to match them to their beginning sound or words. My daughter likes to bury the magnets in the beans and have me search for them. CORNMEAL LETTER TRACING 👆🏽 . This is an easy and inexpensive activity for letter recognition and sensory play! Just add some cornmeal into a tray, set a letter next to the tray and have the child trace the letter with their finger. RICE BOWL LETTER SEARCH 🍚 . Dying rice is easier than I thought it would be. Pour some rice into a ziplock bag, add some drops of food coloring, and shake the bag until the rice is covered with the color that was chosen. Lay out the rice on a cookie sheet and let it dry overnight. Easy peasy! We reuse our rice and keep it stored in a ziplock bag for the next activity. . My son loves the feel of the rice on his his hands.
