CORNMEAL LETTER TRACING 👆🏽 . This is an easy and inexpensive activity for letter recognition and sensory play! Just add some cornmeal into a tray, set a letter next to the tray and have the child trace the letter with their finger. RICE BOWL LETTER SEARCH 🍚 . Dying rice is easier than I thought it would be. Pour some rice into a ziplock bag, add some drops of food coloring, and shake the bag until the rice is covered with the color that was chosen. Lay out the rice on a cookie sheet and let it dry overnight. Easy peasy! We reuse our rice and keep it stored in a ziplock bag for the next activity. . My son loves the feel of the rice on his his hands. NUMBER PASTA SENSORY BOWL 🍲 . Great last minute sensory activity. I store pasta, rice and beans in different bins to reuse for their activities. PUZZLE FISHING 🎣 . Water beads never fail with my kids. They can play with this stuff for hours! They also have a ton of fun with this Melissa & Doug puzzle - the rod is magnetic and easily grabs hold onto each puzzle piece. I thought I’d combine two of the household favorites.
