It’s mind blowing to think that our little girl is now considered a toddler! The first few months of her life were challenging, to say the least. Nawal saw nothing outside of the hospital until she was almost 4 months. Her muscle tone was weaker than most babies, preventing her from breathing and eating on her own. Through endless prayers and support from our community, she’s come a long way since then and has been thriving!
Our girl hit her first birthday! Since we kept her secluded in the beginning to keep her healthy, many of our loved ones hadn’t met or seen her for quite some time. We decided to throw a party to celebrate her health and life, with our family and friends! Nawal is very unique and brings an immense amount of light and happiness into our lives. Those qualities helped me decide on a unicorn theme – full of color and sparkles.

Nawal had an absolute blast! She was very social and refused to nap until the very end. Noah also had a great time and managed to sneak in a lot of the treats on the dessert table.

The corner of the party room was perfect for photos with some added frills and balloons.

The party favors disappeared very quickly, which is a lot better than having leftovers. These were the easiest party favors that I have ever made! I will include these in a DIY blog soon.
Alongside the party favors, I included a box for guests to write a note for Nawal to read when she turns 18. I encouraged the guests to write about news significant to today’s world and what they hope her future.
Happy Birthday, sweet girl. We love you so much!
Special thanks to all those that helped! You know who are you 🙂
